We created the first version of Playmaker in 2011 to help coaches give players a better football experience. Over the last 10 years, our playbook apps have helped more than 1 million coaches, players and parents. Along the way we've learned from our own on-field experiences and feedback from other coaches to make our apps better, and we're not done yet!
We're a small, focused team that has been building custom software for more than 20 years. We think software should work for people, not the other way around. If you've ever emailed support you've already met one of our founders, Daryl or Jeremy, depending on whose week it was to answer questions from coaches. We also operate a local non-profit flag football league that serves kids in our community.
We're self-funded so we don't answer to investors or business partners whose interests are not aligned with the coaches who use our app. This gives us the freedom to choose what's fair for coaches, not what's demanded by detached stakeholders only interested in a return on investment.
We don’t like it when an app requires our credit card info for a free trial and then auto-enrolls us in a paid plan that we don’t want - we bet you don't like that either. In Playmaker, you won’t be asked to enter payment info to start a free trial and you’ll need to take active steps to upgrade to an auto-renewing paid plan.
Our direct-pay plans are auto renewing so your playbook is always there when you need it, but if you know you only want the app for a month, you can upgrade, immediately cancel, and then use the app until your current month expires.
We never want you to be surprised by an auto-renewal charge. We'll send an email to remind you a few days before your subscription is scheduled for auto-renewal so that you have plenty of time to cancel or pause if you don't need the app for another month.
We know that most coaches, especially in youth football, are volunteers who only need Playmaker seasonally. We'll never force you to decide between paying for another month or immediately losing your playbook data. You can pause your account with Offseason Mode and we'll save your plays in the cloud for free for up to 12 months so they're waiting for you when you come back next season.
We never share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes and we don't believe in spam. We use our email list sparingly to let coaches know about updates or other helpful info, and we never share our email list with third parties. Our business makes money by selling a great product - not by selling your email address.
